SuperLeigh Support Leigh Community Trust and Compassion In Action
SuperLeigh are proud to announce that through the efforts of our Assistant Manager Johnny Simpkin we have been able to donate over £700.00 to these two local charities. Johnny completed the Tatton Park 10k event in an amazing 57mins 42secs. SuperLeigh Manager Christine Brown said ‘We are all so proud of Johnny! he has come a long way and the hard work he has put into training for this event despite set backs along the way is a testament to his hard work and determination in the face of adversity.’ Johnny himself commented ‘I would never had believed 12 months ago if someone had said this time next year your going to run a 10k!! It’s a massive honour for me not only to represent SuperLeigh in doing this but also helping two organisations that are very close to our hearts. I have gained inspiration from them both in seeing how they operate with passion and commitment in helping individuals from a variety of both backgrounds and age groups. I hope what we have done can bring their organisations into the spotlight and propel the people of our great town of Leigh to support them in their endeavours.’ We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you who sponsored Johnny to complete this event, once again without your help SuperLeigh would not be the success it is without you. Johnny is pictured handing over a cheque for £370.75 to Pam Gillighan from Compassion In Action and Leigh Community trust employee and SuperLeigh Ambassador Micky Higham along with former Centurion Mick Nanyn.
