Hilton Park Society Statement – SuperLeigh Draw Suspended Due to COVID-19 Pandemic
Following the latest Government advice surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the decision has been taken to temporarily suspend SuperLeigh with immediate effect.
During these challenging and unprecedented times, the health and safety of SuperLeigh’s staff, agents and members is of the utmost priority.
Colleagues and agents will be following the Government’s guidelines to stay indoors and keep safe.
Door to door subscriptions will not be collected during the suspension period and draws will not be made until it is safe to resume the business.
SuperLeigh members who pay via standing order or direct debit are asked NOT to cancel their subscription but to either request a refund on resumption of the draw or ask that their money be counted to future draws.
Anybody who would normally pay their subscriptions to agents, who would wish to make payments by Direct Debit, for use against future draws as above can do so at www.superleigh.com/join-now.
For members who have made cash payments in advance, these will be used for future draws.
On behalf of Leigh Centurions we plead with you to keep the faith and stick with SuperLeigh until such time as we can resume normal business as the club will need us more than ever when they return from this enforced break.
Please follow @superleigh13 and @leighcenturions on Twitter and Facebook to receive further updates.
If you have any further questions, please send an email to info@superleigh.com
We look forward to resuming as soon as it is safe to do so and we thank everybody for their patience and support.
On behalf of Leigh Centurions, Club Owner Derek Beaumont said;
“SuperLeigh and its staff are an integral part of the Club’s support network, and very much part of our family. Without the draws taking place and therefore no ticket sales they have no income to cover their staffing costs. They obviously cannot take subscriptions from our loyal supporters without a subsequent draw taking place.
“I will keep in contact with Christine Brown, (SuperLeigh Manager) to ensure that as a Club we look after her and her team in the same way we are looking after our own staff and players to help them through this difficult time so that they can continue to function once this is all over, and their families are not placed in a position of burden.
“Some subscribers may wish to amend their subscriptions to a donation to assist with the situation which would be very generous however we are obviously conscious of the effects this whole situation is having on everyone and in many cases this may not be possible. I will be looking to place some special non monetary prizes to be drawn at random when normality resumes, for those that manage to continue their support in a different way.
“We have an amazing ‘famileigh’ and we will pull through this in unity with our partners fans and sponsors. Please stay safe.”
